Among the many stories that I have on fanfiction.net and on the forums of thelionscall.com, this is story that is currently getting my main attention at the moment. The reason why is mostly because it is what I hope will become my most major project. So far it's gain lots of reviews on thelionscall, but not a lot on fanfiction.net. (Oh well.) Anyway, this post is going to be talking about the Narnia fanfic that I have come to call "The Fall of Narnia." Basically, this fic a telling on how Narnia may have probably fell to Telmar and how it fell into the Dark Age.
For those of you who are reading this, you should probably feel lucky. Why you may ask? Because you get the inside scoop about my fanfiction. And who knows, maybe even sneak peeks from time to time. See, it pays to take a look at this blog doesn't it? ;)
Now then, first off, perhaps I should give you a summary on what's going to happen in this story. As I mentioned before, it tells how Narnia fell to the Telmarines and how it entered the Dark Age. During this time of approaching darkness, there is much political turmoil and chaos. This turmoil branches all the way back when High King Peter and his siblings returned to their own world after ruling Narnia for fifteen years. Shortly after their return, Narnia is grieving for its lost kings and queens. In an attempt to help restore order to Narnia before lawlessness grows, the neighboring kingdom and ally of Narnia, the country of Archenland, establishes Prince Corin, son of King Lune of Archenland, as the next ruler. The bloodline of Corin rules Narnia for nearly one thousand years. And while this era isn't exactly a Golden Age, Narnia continues to thrive and is at peace with most of the kingdoms in the Narnian world (though occasionally Calormen will attack.) Time continues to pass, and soon things begin to change. The creatures of Narnia begin to develop a general cultural belief that Narnia doesn't need the Children of Adam (also known as humans) as their ruler. They believe that Narnia can rule itself without them. This despicable theory continues to grow, and soon becomes commonly accepted to the point where it is considered acceptable...and even true.
Finally, after nearly one thousand years, the Narnians who sought to rid of the rule of the Children of Adam decide to do just that. The Narnians gather into one massive army, and in their mighty force they launch a rebellion on the heir of Corin, the beautiful Queen Swanwhite II. After six months of war, Queen Swanwhite II and the other descendants of Corin are killed, and Narnia is without a human ruler. Though the Narnians feel victorious at first, they soon realize that they now have to pick a new ruler. This leads to the clashes between the different species of Narnia. Centaurs, Fauns, Satyrs, Marsh-wiggles, Dwarfs, Talking Beasts, and others fight for the throne of Narnia. In additon there is still conflict between these Rebel Narnians and the Loyal Narnians, those who still believe in the truth that Narnia is never right unless a Child of Adam was ruler. To add on top of this, the Dark Narnians, the creatures who fought on the side of the White Witch, the evil ruler of Narnia before High King Peter and his siblings, have also entered the conflict in hopes they can regain the kingdom in the name of the Witch. Just when you think things can't get any worse, we get another group who seeks to control Narnia. This group is the race of humans known as the Telmarines, who emigrated to Narnia to escape famine in their home country of Telmar, which lies beyond Western Wild of Narnia. Though they appeared weak and ragged due to their flight, they became stronger over the years, and they too seek to gain control of the blessed kingdom of Narnia. And the reason why Archenland hasn't sent a new person to rule is because they are dealing with Calormen, the Empire that seeks to control Narnia too.
It is in this time of waging war and treachery that two humans from Oxford, England are summoned by the Great Lion Aslan, ruler and creator of the Narnian world and all worlds. These two humans, Henry Shepherd and Alice Smith, are given the task of finding one of Narnia's lost treasures, the Horn of High Queen Susan, so that one day it can be placed where someone else will find it. In addition, it his hoped that the finding of the Horn will bring the Loyal Narnians and the Rebel Narnians under one banner once more. These missions won't be easy though, all of Narnia is at war. In addition, they are also called to learn a few lessons of their own.
Thus, this is the summary that I have given you involving my fanfiction story, "The Fall of Narnia." My next couple of posts will be focused on this fanfic. In these posts I will be discussing what's going on the story and talking about what I am doing in order to go into deeper depth and development of the Narnian world. In addition, I will talk about what has been inspiring the story and what material I may be using. In addition, I may provide even provide a separate section or even a different blog where you can discuss this work of fanfiction if you desire.
I want to thank you for hearing me blab about this story for nearly seven paragraphs. And I would like to thank you all for your support and prayers that you have given. They have definitely helped me during these troubled times. Things will probably be getting a little hectic before they get better. So yes, I ask that you continue to pray for my family and I, but I just want you to know, I am forever grateful to you all.
God bless,
